In his capacity as General Manager, Peter Dennes will work with CEO Karel Van den Berghe and be in charge of operational and financial management. On top of this, Peter will focus on the structural supervision and professionalisation of Globis’s activities. He will draw up the business plan for the coming years and be responsible for the implementation of that plan.
More specifically, Peter intends to make effective use of Globis’s investments in recent years. “Globis has been growing rapidly for many years,” Karel Van den Berghe, CEO of Globis, explained. “I believe there is a great deal of potential, as year after year the logistics sector as a whole has failed to invest sufficiently in software. Thanks to smart digitalisation and system integration, paperwork and double work can be reduced substantially, making the sector much more efficient. The use of paper files is an anachronism in 2018.”
In his role as CEO, Karel will focus on Globis’s strategy, the continued expansion of the commercial and technological network, and strategic clients and projects. “Peter’s addition to our management team is the next logical step in Globis’s journey,” he said. “We want to achieve controlled growth within Belgium and in other countries. We also have to strike a balance between our vision and strategic plans, and their implementation from an operational and financial perspective.”
Globis’s management team now has seven members: Karel Van den Berghe (CEO), Peter Dennes (General Manager), Karel Versavel (Development Manager), Sofie Van der Perre (Finance Manager), Maarten Van Gysegem (Sales Manager), Pauwel Demeyer (CTO) and Andy Ost (Consultancy Manager).
